Hello, I am here to tell you about a really cool computer game that works for Mac and Windows.
It is called Spore. It is a game that guides you through the 5 stages of evolution. Cell Stage, Creature Stage, Tribal stage, Civilization Age, And
Space Age. First, you start out by picking and naming your planet and naming your creature and picking if it is a carnivore or herbivore. You then see a clip of a meteor hitting your planet in the bottom of the ocean. Then pops out your cell. It may look something like the picture on the very top. You then go through
a short tutorial on how to navigate and get food and things like that. You then try out your mating call. It isn't anything gross so don't worry. When you say the mating call you swim over to your mate and enter the cell creator. This is the first time you get to design your creature. If you are a carnivore you start out with the jaw mouth. If you picked herbivore you start out with the filter mouth. So now in the cell creator you can pick the color of your cell, what type of eyes it has, and you can do what i recommend and give it the opposite mouth of the one you have. This is very useful because it makes your creature an omnivore. Th
is way you can eat plants and also eat meat. You may not be able to afford it at first because mouths are expensive and your currency is DNA points and you usually need to earn a few before you have enough for a mouth. Then pretty much the rest of the cell stage is earn new parts by eating other cells or breaking open meteor shards and then entering the cell creator to add the new parts and take off old parts. Once you get enough DNA points you will evolve. The next step is the Creature Stage. This is a very fun stage where it's pretty much every species for himself. An example of what one of the creatures looks like is the green guy up top. So in the Creature stage you either eat plants if you're a herbivore, eat meat if you're a carnivore and if you're an omnivore a little bit of both. You can also befriend the creatures. In my opinion this is a little bit easier. You can also customize your creature in this stage too. You can unlock new weapon body parts, mouths, legs, graspers, color of your creature, and all sorts of things like that. This is the last stage where you can customize your creature. This stage takes quite a long time, but when you're finished you will be able to evolve into the Tribal Stage. The Tribal Stage personally, is my favorite stage. In this stage you start out at your camp with a few other members of your tribe. The point of the Tribal stage is too either befriend or de
stroy multiple tribes. At first there are no tribes to do anything with but when you kill a few animals it will show a short clip of the Pink Tribe arriving. Before you interact with the new tribe you should gather some food first so you can earn more food points. Food points are your currency for this stage. So then when you have enough food points you can click on your main hut and click on Tribal Planner. In the Tribal Planner you can add things that you earn to camp. First, you only start out with wooden
horns and arrows you can throw. Well, now that I think about it, I'm not sure if you start out with the arrows. It may be a different weapon. Now, you can begin either making friends with the other village by playing instruments for them. To do this you need to have your chieftain with you and you need to get the other village members to stock up on instruments from buildings at your camp. To destroy the enemy it is pretty much the same concept. First you stock up on weapons from your camp. Next you bring your tribe members over to the other village's camp. To destroy the other camp you have to destroy their main fort. The best strategy in my opinion is to have more members than the village that you're attacking, then have depending on how much more people you have, have 1,2,or 3 people attacking the fort and having to other ones attacking the village members. You should also keep probably 1 village member at your camp so animals or other enemy tribe members don't steal your food. Once you destroy or befriend all the other tribes you can evolve to the Civilization Stage. The Civilization Stage is pretty much like a strategy game. When you first start out in the Civilization Stage, you get to build your City Hall. You can make the shape, color it, and even add things like lights to it. Next, y
ou make your car. Cars are very important. You need them to go through most trade routes and to own these things of gas. I forgot what they are called. I'm not really sure about the Civilization and Space Age so sorry if I don't get into as much detail. In the Civilization Stage the whole world is your species. Your goal is to buy or destroy all the cities. To buy a city you have to propose a trade route with them and then they have to agree. After that you have to trade with them for a while and then propose how much you will pay them for their city. You can also destroy the city. You can do this by putting weapons on your method of transportation or you can get this perk if you lived a violent life with your creature so far and this damages most of their city. This stage is pretty easy in my opinion. So after you own all the cities you can evolve into the Space Age!
This is the stage I know the least about. I haven't beat it yet so what I say about it won't be much. First, you design your spacecraft. after that you get a very long tutorial about how to use your spacecraft and the tools in it. Then they send you on what seems like countless missions. Well, this is what I think about Spore. It is one of my favorite games on any console. I would highly, highly, recommend it. So, I hope you liked what I have discovered on Spore and thanks for reading.
